Pastor Gerard Smith is the founder and Lead Pastor of Foundation of Faith Christian Center, located in the beautiful capital city of Columbia, South Carolina. His natural, as well as spiritual roots originated in the upstate of South Carolina, in the foothills of Gaffney. He is a graduate of Gaffney High School and received his Bachelor of Arts Degree from The University of South Carolina, Columbia campus. He obtained his ministerial credentials under the leadership of the late Bishop Thomas E. Smith and The Abundant Life School of Ministry, under the direction of the late Dr. Cynthia DeBerry. In addition, he is forever grateful for the extensive and valuable ministerial training he received under the tutelage of Pastor Norman E. Curlee and the Kingdom Builders Christian Center, where he has been privileged to serve for the past two decades.

Gerard accepted Christ as his savior at the age of fourteen and answered the call into the ministry at the age of twenty-three. He is an energetic and anointed preacher and teacher of the gospel with a passion to impart the principles of faith in God’s word into the hearts of believers, so that their faith will “grow” and they will “go” and impact others globally.

His kingdom assignment is to teach the Word of God with simplicity and understanding so that God’s people will come to know that their “faith is their victory!” He is committed to following the guidance and governance of the Holy Spirit and flowing in the gifts of the Spirit, as God permits. He has the heart of a servant leader, as he has proven to be a committed and faithful servant in the kingdom of God serving the body of Christ within the local church in various capacities of ministry, as well as prison outreach ministry.

Gerard and his wife Jacquelyn reside in Lexington, SC and are the proud parents of two sons and one daughter in love.  Austin Gerard, the elder son, and his beautiful wife Brea Lena, reside in Fort Mill, SC and Bradford Langston, who is an honor student at Wofford College in Spartanburg, SC.

Jacquelyn “Jackie” Smith is the co-founder and First Lady of Foundation of Faith Christian Center located in Columbia, South Carolina. First Lady Smith is originally from Rochester, New York. After graduating from Benjamin Franklin High School, she attended Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) during her freshmen year of college. However, as God begun to order and orchestrate her path, she transferred to Benedict College in Columbia, South Carolina where she earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Criminal Justice. First Lady Smith obtained her ministerial credentials from The Abundant School of Ministry, under the tutelage of Dr. Cynthia DeBerry.

First Lady Smith is a humble servant leader called and anointed by God to teach the Word of God to generations of all ages. God has gifted and enables her to take every day natural living experiences and apply the power of His supernatural Word to stimulate growth throughout the body of Christ. God has given her a heart and passion to teach and care for children of all ages to provoke, challenge, and prepare them for a higher level of growth in their personal, but most importantly, their spiritual lives.

Jackie is the wife of Pastor Gerard Smith and the Proverbs 31 mother of their two sons; Austin and Bradford. Her motto and focus for life is, “If it’s for God’s glory, it will be for my good!” This focus stems from one of her favorite scriptures, Jeremiah 9:23-24, which states, “Thus saith the Lord, Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom, neither let the mighty man glory in his might, let not the rich man glory in his riches:  But let him that glorieth glory in this, that he understandeth and knoweth me, that I am the Lord which exercise lovingkindness, judgment, and righteousness, in the earth: for in these things I delight, saith the Lord.”
